In addition to supporting Senator Stella Pekarsky‘s bill to remove the religious exemption for home schooling, (that has now morphed into a bill to create a “study group”, appointed by Democrat leadership in the House of Delegates and Senate, to come up with a rationale and recommendation to remove the exemption, but only after spending a lot of taxpayer money), the Democrats also oppose any positive movements to allow parents to have choice in education. If Governor Youngkin wasn’t so fiscally responsible, he should call their bluff and agree to give poor families whatever it would take to rescue their children from the toxic, failing public schools.
